Divinatory Art is considered to be the practice consisting, based on an innate and recognized natural capacity, an initiated technique or any knowledge of a notorious parascientific Art, of knowing undisclosed elements concerning a natural person consulting and looking at his past, his present, his future or his behavior.

Cartomancy

Cartomancy is a discipline, a divinatory art par excellence, the most widespread and best known throughout the world for the interpretation of cards, each of which represents one or more meanings capable of revealing the past, present and future for anyone who wishes.

The fortune teller who claims to be clairvoyant interprets them by connecting them together by giving them a meaning based on the question asked and the past, present and future situation of the consultant. A fortune teller or tarot reader is not a clairvoyant. Interpreting a deck of cards is a delicate thing that requires experience, tact and know-how. Astrology

Discipline considered as a branch of the divinatory arts which consists of giving a description of the character of a determined individual… For a serious study, unlike the zodiac sign and its characteristics widely reported in the press, the responsible astrologer needs time to draw up a personalized astral chart which can take 4 hours, 5 or even 6 hours of work. The most requested themes concern problems of the heart and finances… to go faster in the study of a theme, some astrologers use a software which is, according to our information, not reliable and therefore a source of error. Geomancy

Geomancy is a divination technique based on the observation of various objects: sticks, cowrie shells, grains of wheat, pebbles… or any other object thrown on a free surface. Geomancy is an interesting technique that does not require any intuition.

Magic

It provokes smiles or fear, disdain or admiration, but no one is indifferent to it.

We talk about it, of course yes, but most often indiscriminately and above all out of ignorance of what it really is. It must be said that under this promising and fascinating term of magic, the profane encompasses for all its worth both clairvoyance, the cartomancy of Madame Irma, as well as the supernatural, witchcraft, divine or diabolical powers, bewitchment, possession, in short all this domain of the mysterious and the unexplained and the strange as present in our modern society as it could be in Antiquity. But then, what exactly is magic?A quick glance at Larousse will tell us little: Purported art of producing, through certain practices, effects contrary to natural laws. Two opinions are better than one, another look at Quillet-Flammarion: Art by which one claims to produce marvelous effects using formulas and rites endowed with alleged power over nature, gods, demons. However, we must recognize that these definitions are completely erroneous, undoubtedly due to an overly rational and Cartesian approach to the subject. In fact, magic is a reality. Because not only is this art not pretended as these two learned collections scholarly assert, but this supposed art is also a true science. Science and art originating in the oldest ages of humanity and continuing through it to the present day, aiming to master these natural forces that philosophical dualism divides into spiritual and material, while the indeo-Christian perspective defines it as Good and Evil. Moreover, the Bible speaks of magic as something whose existence no one doubts. The famous episode of the ten plagues of Egypt pitting Moses and Pharaoh’s magicians against each other is there, written in full to remind us: But the magicians of Egypt did the same by their enchantments, Exodus VII-22. Therefore, since this mastery is obtained through rituals, formulas, techniques, it is therefore indeed a science and who says science, says scientifically and consequently, experience and experimenter. Saint Albert the Great (Pope and magician) never doubts that we can work wonders through magic, natural magic, that of Good. In his writings, he scrupulously notes: “I experienced this” or “I did not experience this”, fair comments worthy of an authentic scientist working in his “laboratory.” » In this context, it can be assumed that performing magic requires the strictest caution. Possessing the science of Good and Evil, manipulating these powerful occult forces and misusing one exposes one to serious dangers (backlash, madness, possession, etc.) from which it emerges that magic, the true one, has nothing to do with naive superstition or vulgar witchcraft, although the latter results from the degeneration of a “knowledge” whose noble source has been degraded in order to satisfy the lowest human appetites.

Insiders

But real mages exist. They are masters of esoteric wisdom, initiates in the full sense of the term, pursuing in secret the understanding of the laws of nature opening the doors to the universe. They come from a long tradition in which the prestigious names of Moses, Pythagoras, Apollonius of Thyane and, closer to us, Héléna Blavatsky, Aurobindo, Rudolf Steiner are included. Moreover, their motto says a lot about the arduous journey of an evolution whose vigor is contained in four words which are better than all abstruse speeches: know, dare, want, be silent. At this stage, and to avoid any confusion, it should be emphasized that there are not two magics, white and black. Magic is “One”, the only thing differentiating is the good or bad intention of the practitioner, while it acts perfectly in one direction or the other, being governed by the same laws. This well explained, if white or theurgic magic bases its approach on the spiritual principle, Good, black magic or Goetia is inevitably its deviation, its opposite, used to satisfy impure, destructive goals, turned towards Evil by a perverse will.

The return of affection

But the most fruitful hobby horse of these charlatans, the most proposed and also the most demanded, they say, by their customers is the “return of affection”, real trafficking in sentimental distress practiced by crooks. These false merchants of happiness promise for astronomical sums (sometimes several millions) of unexpected reunions (and never achieved), whether between spouses, lovers, cohabitees, a bait which is resisted by the unfortunate abandoned people who no longer know which saint or demon to turn to in order to find the infidel. Obviously, faced with the suffering, the sorrow of an abandoned, betrayed person, who sees their love flouted, their happiness stolen away for the benefit of a rival, we can understand the human reflex which pushes us to do everything to recover by any means the pieces of a broken life. However, we must realize that this “pink magic”, if by chance the operation succeeds (and it is perfectly feasible, always from the perspective of a true mage who has the power to carry it out), will inexorably link two beings (one of whom will be psychologically forced and without hope of escape) to live together, even though the initial love of one of the two partners no longer exists. It’s a very delicate act that affects morale. Because by what right can we chain one human being to another? The true initiate who is in possession of this power must know and have an “apception” of both people, otherwise the operation in the long run can only be destructive.

Witchcraft

Witchcraft does not call on scientific knowledge but essentially on empirical knowledge of black or white forces, jealously kept secret and transmitted by word of mouth or between people of the same brotherhood to do, depending on the case, good or evil, by exercising (according to the request) on a specific person an often evil influence. Among the most frequent actions practiced in African and North African countries, we can cite frigidity, impotence or the evil eye… These practices are similar to rural witchcraft practiced in France in Berry.

Bewitchment or disenchantment

It is the possibility for a sorcerer, marabout, or mage to manipulate the forces of the invisible according to his will in order to bend and force them to the realization of his desires or the desires of a third person (whether these desires are of love, hatred or even death… But rest assured, specialists in these manipulations, often harmful, are as rare as the hairs on the scalp of a bald hairdresser. Voodoo: A cult? A religion?Voodoo has a bit of both. In Haiti Voodoo is predominant. It can be defined as the cult of African spirits, mixed with a very relaxed Catholicism. The mysteries of Voodoo are thickened by an ignorance which attributes to this cult all kinds of magical practices: animal sacrifices, apparitions, trances, prophecies… Voodoo is a mixture of obscure, often spectacular rites, bordering on collective religious madness. Voodoo, in the hands of unhealthy or ill-intentioned people, can be frightening. But rest assured, initiation into voodoo is not given to everyone. A magical-sacred cult, voodoo comes from old African animism and the Catholic religion imported during the colonial era by French planters. The fusion of the mixture of these religious options, animism and Catholicism has given the originality of voodoo which is found and practiced in the large archipelago of the Antilles, the Caribbean, part of Brazil and in certain African countries such as DAHOMEY. Marabouts and African magic: who are they, where do they come from?

From the sands of the desert to the sidewalks of Paris, are Marabouts sellers of happiness? The media hubbub (TV, radio, newspapers, etc.) which periodically arises for or against Clairvoyance, revives the old controversy over the credibility of a marginal practice into which junk gurus and crooked professionals infiltrate. It is true that this irrational niche favors, more than any other profession, abuses and scams, both moral and financial. Difficult discrimination! However, in the spiral of denigration of clairvoyance, Marabouts hold a special place. Their high-sounding advertising periodically floods mailboxes in the four corners of France and Navarre. It is not easy to count them, their mobility practically shielding them from all lawsuits and claims.

The pious and the saints

Of Berber origin, true Marabouts are ascetics in search of the Divine. Their mysticism gave rise to a movement on the fringes of Islam called “Sufism”, a movement which originated in the Souf region, part of the Eastern Sahara, whose main city is El Oued.

In their brotherhood, there are authentic “Saints” and miracle workers, authors of real miracles. Also prophets and naturally seers. The most famous of them, still revered, is Al-Hallaj. Accused of blasphemy by the doctors of the Law, he died on the gallows in 922 because he had dared to proclaim himself “united with God”. He thus became the first martyr of Islamic religious intolerance. Intolerance as virulent as it could be in Judaism, and just as much in Catholicism.

Mysticism is a suspect thing for any established church. In Sudan in 1889, another great Marabout, Sidi Ibrahim, attracted the nomadic tribes of the desert with his reputation for holiness. There are also Marabouts in Mauritania, where their preaching contributed to the expansion of Islam in Black Africa. Coming mostly from the noble Hassan class, they taught theology and constituted maraboutic tribes, receiving and educating students in their mosques of Ouadane and Aoudaghost. Obviously not all of them were Saints in the usual sense of the term, but they remained in the eyes of the populations pious men, listened to and venerated. And when the halo of holiness and miracles persisted beyond the death of one of these ascetic cases, it was not uncommon for their tomb, a small cubic chapel reminiscent of the architecture of a mosque, to become the goal of a pilgrimage where the devotion of the faithful poured out, waiting for their prayers to be answered.But, the Koran being the only liturgical object of the Muslim religion, Marabouts even today remain contemplatives devoting their entire lives to the study of the Surahs (pious verses) and to the recitation of prayers on the amber rosary, all day long. Many sick people still come to them, sometimes from very far away, whose ailments they cure through “touches” as a Western healer or magnetizer might do. These manipulations are no more suspected of libidinous license than those practiced by a doctor in his office.

The Rapists of Hope

All this historical preamble will make it clear the enormous gulf separating the Holy Marabouts of the desert from their Parisian “colleagues”! The amalgamation which has been made abusively and by exploitation of the ignorance of the public, comes not only in large part from the usurpation of the title, but also from the clothing, the rosary ostensibly displayed, with in addition a halo of mysterious behavior calculated to deceive the layman, skilfully disturbed by clever solicitation. All this exotic paraphernalia, these furtive mutterings, bring grist to the mill of these charlatans.
