Charter of Ethics

Preamble

In order to moralize the Profession of the Divinatory Arts, to avoid the multiple excesses which result from these practices where anyone can become overnight a medium, clairvoyant, astrologer, mage, sorcerer…, the National Institute of Divinatory Arts (INAD), which is an association for information, prevention and protection against Abuses and Excesses of the profession, offers, for the benefit of practitioners wishing to establish satisfactory relationships with consultants and in the interest of all, this Moral and Professional Charter.

Also, to prevent consultants from being abused by certain dubious professionals and by multiple misleading advertisements, this Charter, applied and respected by all, would be able to offer a guarantee against abusive excesses which discredit the entire profession. Any Practitioner who has voluntarily subscribed to the acceptance of this Moral and Professional Charter undertakes on their honor to respect its provisions and to carry out their activity with seriousness, honesty and loyalty in order to best satisfy the consultants who will use their services.

The importance of INAD membership

Only practitioners who are members of INAD can use this charter as a distinctive sign of their commitment to respecting established ethical rules. By voluntarily subscribing to this Charter, they undertake on their honor to carry out their activity with seriousness, honesty and loyalty, in the interest of consultants and the profession.

Thus the use of the charter is strictly reserved for members of the INAD, wishing to stand out from less serious colleagues and to promote their practice. It is a guarantee of trust and quality for consumers looking for reliable and honest practitioners.

Audiotel services and platforms

The managers, directors of audiotel services and online clairvoyance platforms (…), under penalty of having their liability engaged, undertake to do everything possible to surround themselves with qualified practitioners, having certain and recognized experience in the field of private life advice, clairvoyance and astrology… Any practitioner who adheres to this Charter, acts in an individual approach, freely consented, and must comply with the rules laid down in all their provisions. Otherwise, he will be excluded from the organization with which he collaborates and his professional card will be immediately withdrawn.

All professionals must refuse consultations intended for people who are fairly fragile or addicted to clairvoyance, unless it involves listening work equivalent to psychotherapy at reasonable frequencies. It is important that this is clarified and formally recorded in writing if possible before any consultation.

The client is responsible for his actions, unless it is a person in a situation of unhappiness, in a situation of extreme weakness, and it will then be appropriate for the practitioner concerned to advise him in his best interests and ultimately to inform the site manager who will take the necessary measures in the interest of the client.

Exercise of Divinatory Arts

All practitioners undertake to carry out their activity with sincerity, loyalty and objectivity. Any practitioner wishing to practice a divinatory art for professional purposes must first and depending on their status satisfy all legal and regulatory formalities for access to industrial and commercial professions and make the declarations required by law or regulations to the competent social and tax organizations.

Any practitioner of the divinatory arts undertakes to carry out personalized work and individual studies. Failing this, when the work or part of the work is not personal (in the case, for example, of the use of software), the practitioner undertakes to inform his clients.

Obligation of means

The practitioner of the divinatory arts is only bound by an obligation of means (use of his knowledge, his knowledge, his gift, etc.)In the field of divinatory arts, this obligation of means prohibits the practitioner from stating certainties, from guaranteeing the certain occurrence of events or the accuracy of his predictions.

In the field of occult practices, this obligation of means prohibits the practitioner from promising or guaranteeing a result. The consultant is entitled to reimbursement of any sums paid if the guaranteed or promised result is not achieved.

Occult Works

The practitioner undertakes not to carry out any occult work (dispelling, witchcraft, black magic). Any service other than a consulting activity, provided to a client by a practitioner, must be the subject of a written contract, signed by both parties and mentioning the nature of the service and its price.

Respect for private life and professional secrecy

All practitioners of the divinatory arts are bound by professional secrecy. The consultation is a strictly confidential act. Personal information concerning consultants will not be disclosed to third parties, including another professional, under any circumstances, directly or indirectly. The practitioner is prohibited from threatening the consultant to disclose them. The practitioner is prohibited from using this information for purposes other than divination and consultation activities. The practitioner is prohibited from recording or filming the consultant without his knowledge. The professional is prohibited from retaining or archiving personal and private documents or objects belonging to consultants. Any such document or object must be handed over to its owner upon first request. All consultants must be informed of any storage or recording of personal data concerning them, even if it only concerns their name and address. The practitioner refrains from soliciting, storing or recording racial, political, union, philosophical or religious information.

Fraudulent maneuvers

The practitioner undertakes to respect the free will of his consultants and refrains from exercising any influence over them. It is forbidden to abuse the naivety or credulity of people in situations of weakness or fragility, to take advantage of or exploit the weakness, loneliness or emotional turmoil of single people, elderly people, sick people, disabled people, etc. He refrains from engaging in staging or maneuvers likely to mislead the customer.

Advertising and charlatanism

The professional must contribute to the fight against charlatanism; all advertising must be fair and truthful.

Obligation of information and information

The practitioner undertakes to kindly inform his consultants and to respond honestly to any questions they may formulate. This information obligation must be respected, including by telephone, without the consultant having to travel or meet the practitioner to obtain it.

Fees and payment methods

Practitioners’ fees are free and depend on the real and confirmed competence of the interested parties. They must be clearly displayed in the office or clearly stated during telephone consultations. Any practitioner is prohibited from making abusive credit card charges.

Minors

Any practitioner of the divinatory arts undertakes not to receive a minor for consultation, without written authorization from the holder of parental authority.

Relationship with other professionals

Any practitioner of the divinatory arts refrains from denigrating a colleague or tarnishing his image to better attract his client.

This Charter was submitted to the DGCCRF “loyalty service” before its publication and recommended by the State Secretariat for Commerce, Crafts, Small and Medium Enterprises, Tourism, Consumer Services and may be supplemented or modified subsequently. Any person having signed this Charter may suggest any modification or addition to the management of the I.N.A.D. the rules contained in this Charter are neither exhaustive nor restrictive.
