When the platforms turn a blind eye to the excesses of certain “practitioners”

Between abuse of credulity, insults, threats and psychological excesses, the world of online clairvoyance is increasingly worrying. Certain platforms, although completely identifiable, continue to serve as a playground for individuals who compete with lies, fantasized powers and empty promises. Investigation into a business which too often escapes any regulation.

Clairvoyance has never been so accessible. A click, a nickname, a bank card: and here is the online “consultant”, ready to receive the revelations of a medium who presents himself as the depositary of age-old esoteric secrets. But behind the screen, what is really going on?

Self-proclaimed “professionals” of questionable competence

We have collected numerous testimonies from clients who were cheated, shocked, even traumatized by experiences with practitioners who are more about mental manipulation than spiritual accompaniment. Very far from the principles of respect and ethics that these professions claim to claim, these individuals churn out absurd, incoherent, often contradictory predictions… and refuse any questioning. At the slightest contradiction, the mask falls.

Insults, contempt, threats: a chilling reality

The most worrying? The behavior of certain practitioners when the client dares to express his dissatisfaction. Instead of respectful dialogue, some users face an avalanche of aggression: personal insults, outright contempt, attacks on privacy and, in some cases, thinly veiled threats. “We’ll see if you’re still laughing when you suffer the consequences of the spell I just cast on you,” we could read in a message sent to a customer who had simply requested a refund.

Not only are these behaviors unacceptable, but they sometimes constitute a form of psychological violence. However, few platforms intervene. Worse, certain platforms and applications continue to promote these problematic profiles as headliners, as long as they are “profitable”.

Platforms and applications must assume their share of responsibility

To date, too few platforms take clear measures to supervise their stakeholders. As advertising media, these companies profit from the exposure of these practitioners – while claiming to have no responsibility for their actions. However, by tolerating such slippages, they become passive accomplices of this system.

It is urgent that these companies call to order the clairvoyants, mediums and other “spiritual guides” who operate in their spaces. The demands of a customer, even a dissatisfied one, can never justify disrespect or threats. The credibility of a sector already largely discredited by its internal abuses is at stake.

Failing to act, the platforms could also find themselves in the dock. Because in this area, as in others, responsibility is not only individual: it is also structural. When a digital space allows pseudo-professionals to operate without safeguards, it must agree to answer for their excesses.

As the victims of these abuses multiply, the question is simple: how many complaints, scandals and dramas will it take before the platforms and applications concerned finally come out of their guilty silence?
