Black magic at the heart of a scam

Following an emotional problem which deeply shocked her, Geneviève* contacted Caroline Herrscher ‘‘clairvoyant’’, whom she had known a few years previously and whose telephone number she kept. She was far from imagining that she was going to be ‘‘the fragile prey’’ of this so-called clairvoyant, to whom she was going to leave - in less than 6 months - the sum of €29,600, all of her savings. But when you are alone, without friends, without family, tormented, on the verge of despair, you often turn to a woman or a man of art, the one who will advise you, comfort you, enlighten you, give you a surge of hope in these difficult times. Unfortunately we often make the wrong choice and cling to the first crook, charlatan or crazy person who comes along, or who we find on the internet where there are more and more crooks of all kinds.

Before publishing the testimony, we took care to contact the “clairvoyant” but she did not think it necessary to respond.

Geneviève tells us her story “…I had become her thing, she isolated me, ruined me

“I was friends with a man and I was asking myself real questions about the continuation of our relationship which disturbed me, I was incapable of reasoning and facing the truth. I wondered without obtaining the slightest credible answer… So I grabbed the phone and called Caroline Herrscher who, immediately, took me for a consultation, gave me hope and predicted better days, a sunny romantic future with my friend, telling me: “Jean* He’s the man of your life…”, I believe her. From that day on, she continued to send me messages every day to get news on the evolution of my romantic situation and encouraged me to carry out rituals to undo my spell. She told me that I was the victim of black magic and to get rid of this spell that was ruining my life, she asked me to send her all the photos of everyone around me, the only condition for removing this black magic. I no longer knew what to say, what to think, I felt trapped… All contacts were made by phone, messenger, Facebook… I had become her thing, she was directing my life… Without waiting for any agreement from me, she announced to me that she had started the work to supposedly remove black magic and strengthen my friend’s feelings towards me. As I didn’t see anything happening, I told her about it… But she had an answer to everything: “black magic is too strong, you have to start all over again and carry out different magic rituals: black, white, transparent… … She ordered me to move away from all my contacts, from my friends, who according to her are bad for me, that I have to “let them go” and that I have to confide in her, tell her everything.. Which I did because I no longer had anyone around me to talk to. To extract even more money from me, she decided to perform several rituals on my friend and his sister, because she is the one who used black magic to keep him away from me. According to this clairvoyant, my friend’s sister is therefore herself a clairvoyant and only wants her brother for herself. I had become her thing, sheisolated, ruined…The rituals and other fanciful magical operations began in August 2020, ending in February 2021, which allowed him to extract €29,600 from me in six months. I was alone and so anxious, I was afraid, unhappy, at the end of my rope and what was supposed to happen happened: I had a nervous breakdown, with a 15-day work stoppage in October/November 2020. All payments to this clairvoyant were made by checks and transfers. I even made, at his request, a credit to pay by transfer for the checks in his possession. However, instead of sending me the checks, she had kept some and did not hesitate to cash one from time to time. As she took all my savings, without any result, I told her about it, she found a way to announce to me that she had become friends with my friend on Facebook and that it would be a shame, according to her, to stop the rituals at this stage, especially since my friend would be in the middle of depression and would need help.. Faced with my categorical refusal, she threatened to reveal everything to my friend and that she would even have filed a complaint against me for unpaid services. Help me! She continues to cash the checks in her possession and this puts me in difficulty with my bank. This situation weighs on me, disturbs me, destroys me mentally, I can no longer stand this fear and this suffering…

I feel helpless, ashamed. ….She still has a copy of my national identity card, my pay slips and my bank identity statement, she wanted to put together a file so that I could still obtain credit to pay it in one go. I can’t sleep anymore…’’ Geneviève** the names have been replaced
