Wengo, the well-known platform for advice from “experts” of all kinds, doesn’t care about laws, doesn’t care about customers, doesn’t care about the experts themselves.
Having been a clairvoyant for many years, despite a certain reluctance until now for clairvoyance platforms, I ended up letting myself be seduced by Wengo, having a significant French consultancy, the choice of a platform located in French territory with a storefront seemed judicious to me, which moreover belonged largely to Vivendi Universal gives an impression of seriousness. On October 7, my service went online on Wengo, very quickly I realized that Wengo is far from the transparent platform that it tries to make its customers and its experts believe.
Wengo, according to the information in my possession, is in great financial difficulty (you can order the documents from the Paris commercial court). But where can one look for the money to undoubtedly pay the generous salaries of the Wengo managers who are running the platform dry? In the pockets of the experts themselves and even more so in those of the clairvoyants who generate the majority of Wengo’s turnover. The percentage rate received by Wengo on clairvoyance has exploded to pass in just a few years from 33% to 65% currently, to this is added 8% of customer bonus coming from Wengo and more and more numerous options paying between 1 and 3% We are soon at 75% of commission owed to Wengo or more. This is the first time that a company charges a presenter to appear on TV (3% of the expert’s turnover for two months).
The Internet slave traders will stop at nothing! For my part, the Wengo company managed to save me 96% of my turnover. Clearly if a customer pays 3 euros/minute I receive 12 cents gross before taxes from them, out of 180 euros per hour generated, my hourly earnings are therefore 7.2 euros. The mafia pays a higher percentage to the girls they put on the street.
How did Wengo manage to make me earn such a meager sum? With a more than dubious billing system! I am under Belgian tax regime, Wengo invoices the end customer in my name with 21% Belgian VAT, the total amount of the transactions becomes my turnover and not that of Wengo. Then it invoices me its commission on the turnover including tax, it is then up to me to pay the VAT in my country.
I obviously contacted the expert service at our disposal (service included in our 65%) to ask that they take into account when calculating this particularity which allows Wengo to take 19.6% more commission from me. To date and after 3 weeks of repeated requests, emails to different departments, to Mr. Amiel (marketing manager and founder of Wengo), to Mr. Giunti (financial and accounting manager), calls to the experts service who filters the calls so as to no longer answer (after hanging up on me on the day or waiting for more than a week for a response I started to getting angry on the phone) has still not answered me and does not intend to do so.
Worse still, I asked Wengo to provide me with the names, addresses and intra VAT numbers of certain customers who were switching to 0% VAT in invoicing (therefore taxable persons). They do not seem to respond to me and are therefore withholding information. My only recourse is to notify my tax administration to ask them to take the necessary steps with the competent French service to request from Wengo information on those whom Wengo considers for tax purposes to be my clients.
I only worked for two months for this platform, the damage to me was minimal. What will happen to people who have worked for years at Wengo the day they have a tax audit and they do not understand how Wengo invoicing works? Real disasters in perspective for certain clairvoyants or other experts.
