Clairvoyance, audiotels and various abuses

This site was initiated with the aim of informing consumers about the divinatory arts, their practice, their benefits but also the abuses that we encounter more and more often. It also allows everyone to express themselves freely, to share their observations or suggestions, to give their opinion on real or supposed practices, to testify and to give advice to victims of unscrupulous practitioners. Finally, it seems important to us to remember that comments are not a platform for self-advertising. In order to respond to the particularly offensive, insulting and defamatory observations, questions and provocations, which were voluntarily deleted (but archived because a complaint was filed against their authors), it seemed appropriate to recall that the INAD is an association which has existed for 21 years, and whose goal is the defense of consumers and the moralization of a profession which is immersed in total artistic vagueness. Indeed, this activity of the divinatory arts is not subject to any supervision or control and the law in this specific area is totally inadequate. It allows individuals formed into real lobbies, without faith or law, to “rain or shine” to the detriment of consumers. Within Inad, everyone is a volunteer and does not receive any salary or any benefits or privileges.

What exactly is INAD? An organization which tries to exclude from an already much criticized profession all those who take advantage of human distress to make money: rogue psychics, crooks, charlatans, junk magicians, “phony” marabouts in djellaba or gandoura, audiotel services, the majority of which are a real scourge for the entire profession. Do you think it is a utopia, a crazy dream or deliberate malice on the part of the INAD to want to shed light on a practice whose turnover is gigantic? To answer these questions, contrary to the malicious statements of certain unscrupulous professionals, INAD does not pursue any personal, lucrative or even less malicious goal towards anyone. The Inad has no role as policeman of the profession. Its objective is to enlighten the consumer in order to allow them to evolve in complete peace of mind in the world of clairvoyance and divinatory arts, but also and above all to raise awareness and make all responsible professionals aware that it is their duty to show solidarity because this activity, although useful to our fellow human beings, risks disappearing or being seriously mistreated by the fault of professional manipulators and true traders of human distress.

It is important to know that, when a person who is the victim of fraud or abuse of weakness calls on the INAD, this association does everything possible to find an amicable arrangement with the perpetrators of misdeeds which are often nothing more or less than crimes. Failing an arrangement, the INAD gives its opinion to the victim and leaves them free, as a last resort, either to abandon any prosecution or to file a complaint against the person(s) responsible for the abuse.

Audiotel services INAD is criticized for accepting as members a few clairvoyance firms specializing in audiotel services. It is quite obvious that the acceptance of these firms is not only rare but above all limited to those who have made the commitment torespect the rules laid down in the moral and professional charter developed by Inad. Inad volunteers can welcome the results obtained on behalf of victims of abuse by certain firms, whether members or not. Indeed, following the intervention of INAD, the rare audiotel services that are members of INAD have always reimbursed the complainants to respect their commitments to the moral charter to which they subscribed and which binds them. Is it necessary to remind you that Inad does not give a pass to its members, whether they are individual professionals or audiotel services? Quite the contrary. With regard to audiotel services, those who have subscribed to the Inad charter are taking extra caution and demonstrating responsibility because they know that Inad does not offer any frontage guarantee made available to professionals to enable them to attract potential customers. Whether it concerns members of Inad or other professionals, Inad intends to continue its action of prevention, information, advice and mediation towards consumers and professionals of the divinatory arts.
INAD has no jurisdictional or official mediation powers. It is therefore impossible for the association to impose any solution. However, INAD regularly intervenes within the framework of its associative responsibilities to find an amicable compromise likely to satisfy the parties in conflict. Failing this, the INAD provides advice, advice and assistance to victims of unscrupulous practitioners who wish to file a complaint with the public prosecutor’s office. The association also assists the victim throughout the investigation of the complaint with the help of lawyers chosen by them.

It is quite obvious that we must not turn a blind eye and allow audiotel services to flourish, many of which, it must be admitted, have become a real trap for fragile people, in situations of weakness or distress. Those responsible for these services have understood that certain people in great moral distress can quickly become loyal to the point of becoming addicted to clairvoyance and certain fanciful practices. In short, easy victims to fleece with complete impunity. Why this kind of practice? The answer can be summed up in a few words: said audiotel services are not subject to any regulation or control. They can therefore exploit consumers like psychics (real or false) by paying them €4.50 per hour generated, that is to say the hour actually worked. We are far from the minimum hourly wage imposed by law which is €8.74 per hour. To make numbers, false or real clairvoyants are then forced to slaughter.
Furthermore, the lack of confidentiality of online consultations is completely contrary to the basic rules of clairvoyance consultation which falls under professional secrecy around the private life and very intimacy of consumers. It is of course understood that not all audiotel services should be put in the same basket, but the fact remains that the process in itself is very generally open to criticism and that there are permanent deviations.

Based on these findings, INAD submits various proposals such as: - make public the names of those responsible for any audiotel site, - impose free compulsory waiting periods. Indeed, regarding waiting times for audiotel clairvoyance, we willintervene with the High Consumer Council to clarify the situation in order to put an end to the abuses noted in this area.
- prohibit disclosure to third parties of the content of consultations - limit the costs of online services - impose on any audiotel service the employment of real professionals in the divinatory arts, - impose fair remuneration which cannot be lower than the minimum wage for a maximum of 35 hours of work per week, - prohibit the offering of clairvoyance consultations in the form of a subscription. A purely commercial practice which has nothing to do with the values of clairvoyance, - prohibit audiotel services and any private practitioner from door-to-door canvassing, - prohibit audiotel services and any private practitioner from the practice of clairvoyance by SMS which has no value. This practice is nothing but a trap and a comfortable income for certain commercial companies.

It also appears to us that the issuance of authorizations to collect telephone consultations must not exceed a sum greater than €100 for any clairvoyance consultation by telephone via an audiotel service, for a duration of one hour (1 hour). Any abusive withdrawal of more than €150 to €400, or even more, must not be authorized by the credit card center. It appears that the latter is also responsible in the same way as his clients to whom he issued the machines or authorization for sampling clairvoyance consultations.

We will conclude this update with one last piece of information. Around ten complaints for fraud and abuse of weakness, involving more than €100,000, have just been filed, with the support of INAD, against several pseudo clairvoyants and marabouts whose practices amount to nothing less than fraud and mental manipulation. Other complaints involving similar amounts are also about to be filed. Fortunately, for several years the Justice system has been listening to victims of clairvoyance fraud and regularly punishing the perpetrators of these crimes.
