“I think, therefore I am”. This assertion by Descartes deserves a complement: “I am only within the limits where I think”.
Hence the interest in support points, milestones, and enlightened advice. All of us, one day or another, feel this need to go beyond the limits of our limited means. It must be admitted that this gift of life to humans is beyond belief. In trying to penetrate the mysteries that envelop us and often govern our destiny, how many questions arise, vain given our inability to resolve what challenges us so much!
Ignorance - Misrecognition - Perception - Faith - Revelation - Love - such seems to us to be this Jacob’s ladder which is proposed to us, in the face of this Cosmos where we only appear as “nothing weights”.
Over time, a few enlightened, inspired characters have appeared here on earth, a sort of spokesperson for a higher world - a divining environment? - stimulating our questions, guiding our steps: Emile and Elisha, almost 3000 years ago, delivering messages, encouragement, promises, threats of judgment… followed by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, edifying, exhorting, consoling, tending to enlighten men in a way that shapes their destiny.
The first “true” seer was perhaps Jérémie, a victim, a struggler, and sometimes a victim of the evil one. Many others will follow in his footsteps, related to the prophets, to their sanctified office as priesthood, working similarly among the blind, newborns with hesitant steps, in short the rest of us…
.blind, still in childhood, who have a great need to refer to the white pebbles of certain little thumbs so as not to get lost on our adventurous path from where the ogre and the wolf are never far away
blind that we are for a long time in this sort of tunnel of life where the slightest light appears to us as a common treasure and a grace
…still blind when it is appropriate to rope ourselves to climb such difficulty - peak, mountain and overhang - that we cannot face alone.
…blind, although Presidents of the first power in the world; the Lincolns and Kennedys, two of whose close advisors (with reversed namesakes) alone have the foreknowledge of the attacks that will occur - which only increases the mystery of our own destinies
…the blind finally, the false prophets - like Pineapple struck down before Peter - and throughout time the string of mercantis cynically prostituting the office in the name of Beelzebub… a
time! . . .
As for the others, true seers with rigorous integrity and flawless ethics imbued with modesty and prudence because they are custodians of a part of the sacred, they serve their neighbor, putting their privilege into perspective, convinced that, for those above, they too remain… “visually impaired”.
