<p>Disguised subcontracting, accounting opacity, commercial manipulation: the Professional Union of Practitioners of Divinatory Arts (SPPAD) warns of the abuses of certain digital clairvoyance platforms, which exploit legal vagueness to the detriment of professionals and consumers alike. Among the professions undergoing digital transformation, that of clairvoyant or practitioner of divinatory arts faces a cruel paradox: hypervisible online, but invisible in its rights.</p>

<p>For several years, certain specialized platforms – sometimes well known to the general public – have promised practitioners easy access to a wider clientele. But behind the scenes, these promises are accompanied by a system as locked as it is opaque, which is causing growing concern from the SPPAD, the profession’s union. Commission without control, invisible sighted clients registered on these platforms are officially independent, often in micro-enterprises. In reality, their activity is entirely controlled by the platforms in question: imposed pseudonym, ban on direct contact with customers, obligation to remain exclusively reachable via the digital interface. “The psychic does not even know how much the customer has paid,” denounces a SPPAD spokesperson. “He receives a commission, without transparency on the amounts collected, nor on the method of calculation. However, it is him that the URSSAF asks to justify this turnover. » A double adjustment is sometimes imposed: on the overall amount collected by the platform, but also on the portion paid back, due to lack of accounting clarity.</p>

<p>Unfamiliar faces, questionable practices - beyond the fate reserved for practitioners, the union is also sounding the alarm about the growing lack of professionalism of certain platforms, which recruit “purely commercial” profiles, without any knowledge or training in the divinatory arts. “These individuals are selected for their patter, their ability to psychologically manipulate, not for any esoteric skills,” adds the union. A trend which also worries the INAD, regularly contacted by abused consumers, sometimes psychologically fragile. Some testimonies report aggressive practices: forced extension of consultations, alarming announcements encouraging people to “buy packages”, or promises of priced or falsely guaranteed miracles. The press has regularly echoed these abuses, denouncing a sector where ethics is relegated behind turnover. Economic dependence and legal invisibility The economic model of these platforms is based on a carefully maintained ambiguity: they collect customer payments, but present themselves as simple technical intermediaries, neither employers nor direct traders. A position which allows them to refuse any responsibility in the event of a dispute, URSSAF control or request for information. “We are in a logic of pure Uberization*, but without any of the safeguards that the law ofwork imposed on VTC or delivery platforms,” analyzes a specialist lawyer. “The economic dependence is total, but legally masked. »</p>
<p>An appeal to the State and the supervisory authorities. The SPPAD is today calling on the public authorities to take up the matter. The union is calling for the reclassification of certain situations as disguised employment, as well as an investigation into misleading commercial practices aimed at the general public. Because behind the promises of caring listening and spiritual guidance, it is a cold and lucrative industry that has been organized - far from the traditional image of individual, intimate and responsible consultation.</p>
