Clairvoyance, Charlatanism and Scam

Psychics under the influence

A scourge growing every year, more and more people are turning to clairvoyance to find answers, advice or comfort. But this universe is plagued by self-proclaimed practitioners who exploit the vulnerability or good faith of their clients for profit. Scams linked to clairvoyance, particularly by telephone, are increasing, trapping many victims and causing enormous psychological and financial damage.

Psychics themselves under influence?

A worrying phenomenon has also been reported: some clairvoyants say they are victims of black magic and are convinced of being bewitched by one or more brothers or sisters. The INAD wonders: how can a fairly unbalanced practitioner provide real help to his clients if he himself is convinced of being under the influence of a curse or an imaginary spell? A question that raises a real problem of ethics and professional responsibility.

In order to help customers avoid being trapped, especially on social networks and on certain platforms, we remind you that self-proclaimed psychics use well-established commercial strategies to manipulate their victims. Among the most common: vague and generalized statements that apply to everyone. Example: “I sense that you have been going through a difficult time.” or “Someone around you is not being honest with you. These banal phrases encourage the consultant to provide details himself which the pseudo-clairvoyant then reformulates as a revelation. Once trust has been established, the pseudo clairvoyant or marabout creates anxiety: “I see a curse that is pursuing you. If you do nothing, a serious problem awaits you…’’. Thus, playing on fear, he then offers a profitable solution: a disenchantment and protection work (imaginary, of course). A professional in deception and mental manipulation often asks questions and requests details to retrieve information: “Is there a person whose first name begins with A or M who influences your life?” A ruse that gives an illusion of professionalism and competence.

Good to know to recognize a good clairvoyant
A good clairvoyant does not ask for prior information and will not seek to obtain details to construct a more convincing speech. an honest clairvoyant does not play on fear. If a practitioner alerts you to a threat and offers a paid ritual, flee. if he offers you a protective talisman, run away. Before consulting a professional found on a site, check the legal notices of said site.

In the absence of legal information: Name, address, telephone number, it is better to give up. Scams in the field of clairvoyance are on the rise. INAD recently received three complaints representing a total loss of one million euros. Remaining vigilant is essential to avoid falling into the traps of scammers disguised as clairvoyants or marabouts. Consulting a psychic can be an enriching experience if you use discernment. Pay attention to warning signals and favor identified processionals
