Clairvoyance and canvassing: the consumer's right

To no longer be trapped

As a general rule, and particularly in matters of canvassing by telephone, the consumer is now entitled to a withdrawal period of 14 days. This information must be communicated by the website on which a clairvoyance act is offered. The website must also inform the consumer of the exact identity of the company with which he is concluding a contract through canvassing.

Failing this, the consumer can go to a civil court to request reimbursement of the sums he has paid, and he could also file a criminal complaint for misleading and deceptive commercial practices.
