After filling out an online form on the MYASTRO site, I was contacted (I never clicked on the button asking me to be contacted again, and I immediately left the site) by a company informing me that their Great Psychic had had a flash about me and that I was entitled to 10 free minutes. I am offered a call back later and in good faith I give my card number to charge 1 euro to secure the line. I am contacted again at the scheduled time and the operator transfers me Alexis, who introduces himself as being in charge.
Before transferring me she explains to me that beyond 10 minutes the billing would be 6.50 euros per additional minute.
Alexis speaks slowly and repeats the same thing several times to make the conversation last as long as possible, and without telling me anything that I didn’t already know. Having understood the scam, I inform him that I wish to cut off the communication at around 30 minutes. He tells me that the biggest part is done and convinces me to continue. Then he tells me with the pendulum we are at 189 euros. I let him continue thinking that it was the total, what a mistake! After 63 minutes he tells me 533.50 euros! I explain to him that this is not possible and wants to transfer me to the management center. I hang up and immediately deactivate the internet payment function of my bank card, immediately I receive 5 text messages from my bank informing me that they had tried to charge 383.50 euros twice, then 200, 100 and 50 euros.
The next day I called my bank but my advisor was not available so I did not immediately object to the card. The same day I see that they try to charge 383.50 and 50 euros again. I then see that they were still able to take 150 euros, which means that they took without my consent and while I was online with the pseudo psychic.
I filed a complaint with the police for fraud… In the meantime, I received numerous text messages and emails asking me to contact them to regularize the situation and informing me of the transfer of my file to their recovery department and to their bailiff in order to recover this debt through legal means accompanied by the recording of my conversation with their psychic.
