I could have killed myself

I consulted a psychic, Annie A. and I found her method dangerous. I consulted her because I have had frequent migraines for a very long time. The clairvoyant (who calls herself a facilitator and shaman) wrote what the invisible beings dictated to her. She then told me that my father had played sexually with me when I was very young, between 0 and 3 years old. As I told her that it was not possible, she told me peremptorily that I had to accept. She was very sure of herself, very authoritarian. I blame him for throwing this in my face without preparation, without support and without expressing any compassion. She gave me a ritual to perform within 21 days. I was in shock. She left (I gave her 100 euros). The most “interesting” thing is that I felt dominated by this strong personality and I couldn’t question her word, because having had an alcoholic father who was difficult to live with, I could have believed her. She left me alone with that… I didn’t sleep all night, I felt terrible. I spent my time wondering if my father had abused me… I felt relief three days later, after having done the ritual (quite classic: it involved writing on a sheet then burning the paper and burying it).

That’s when I came to my senses. I called her 15 days later to tell her that I still had a bit of a headache: she told me that she couldn’t do anything remotely for me and that she had to see me. I then clearly understood that she wanted to see me again to take money from me. I calmly told her that I wouldn’t see her again and explained why. I told her that I was shocked and she replied that it was the invisible beings who had suggested to her to give me an electric shock. I reproached her for her lack of compassion, I repeated that I was very unwell after her visit, that I could never prove the accusations she made against my father because at 3 years old, we have no memories. But she had absolutely no empathy. She didn’t hear what I was saying to her. She simply told me that I was taking her for a scapegoat by projecting my anger at having been a victim onto her. I kept my calm. She told me that she was not responsible and that it was I who had chosen her to give me an electric shock. And then she lectured me: “Well, madame, keep your anger!”

I’m fine today because I’m more and more convinced that she lied to me. I’m not complaining about having lost money and I’m even quite happy to have had the courage to confront her, given the influence she had over me. What worries me is this person’s manipulation and total lack of empathy. The violence of his statements, his brutality and his egocentrism scandalized me. I believe that if I had been a gullible or depressed person I might have committed suicide. I would like to avoid the trauma she caused me to other people. I think this lady is dangerous.
