We travel for a few months in English-speaking countries, I begin to suspect that he has a family and he swears to me that he does not, then we settle in New Caledonia. He returns to France, I join him for the holidays and that’s when I discover that he has been married for a very long time and that his fourth child was only a few months old. He swears to me that it’s an arranged marriage and that he’s going to leave his wife. He persuades me to lend him 7,000 euros to enroll in a business school, so I take out a loan from the bank and send him the money. I started my life again and to date, he has only reimbursed me around 1,000 euros. This is my story, abused, cheated in every sense of the word. I felt dirty for a long time and to say that I trusted this person completely, he, who knew what I had suffered before, made fun of me, took advantage of my weakness, he had everything: my money, my body and… his diploma.
