They operate mainly on the networks and spread, without any quality or legitimacy, alarmist predictions and catastrophic visions. They have invaded the web and deliver their fantastical deliriums in the peremptory tone of the shaman. As the crisis spreads, false prophets proliferate, like the implacable fatality according to which misfortune never comes alone. Allegedly invested with a mission, showing off their cards or virtual crystal balls to which they lend faculties that they do not possess, they use the anxiety-provoking situation to infiltrate fragile minds. Their stock in trade is fear.

Let us remember that clairvoyance cannot and must not replace the enlightened advice of science under any circumstances, and that the vast majority of self-proclaimed clairvoyants and (false) prophets are nothing other than businessmen, notorious charlatans.

Vaccination has become the major concern of the French, a large number of whom are also clients of often dishonest psychics. According to statistics, 4.18 billion doses of vaccines have been administered to date. Can we imagine for a single moment that these hundreds of millions of vaccinated people have no free will and blindly agreed to sacrifice themselves? Can we imagine that the world would have lost its mind to this point? Who could imagine that the 4 million French people who were vaccinated following the speech by the President of the Republic did so with the sole aim of obtaining the “health pass”? If the dissatisfied demonstrators took to the streets, it is not because of a vaccine but in the name of a freedom that they believe has been violated. It is within the generalized confusion and conflicts that the “experts” of organized fraud have infiltrated, under the cover of clairvoyance, taking advantage of the fragility of a shaken society in search of meaning and reference points. This must challenge the profession, which must constantly upgrade its image and separate the wheat from the chaff by denouncing those who exploit the naivety, credulity and weaknesses of others.

Human beings have within themselves the incompressible need to give meaning to events. An irrational animal, he will always tend to resort to esotericism or any kind of belief to ease his tensions in the face of the whims of fate. Let us not forget that some, in the 1980s, put forward the prophecies of Nostradamus to justify the emergence of AIDS. The technological evolution of science changes nothing, such is the power of this almost sick desire to delude oneself into thinking that everything is written. The so-called mediums, diviners and clairvoyants know perfectly well the principle of the return of the repressed and insert themselves into a regularly opened breach and do not hesitate to substitute themselves for scientists to proclaim their alarmist theories on the pandemic. As a result, sometimes mingling with certain Internet users who are followers of ultracrepidarianism, another disease of our time, they contribute to reinforcing anxiety among the less informed or the more naive by uttering their apocalyptic theories. Their goal? Strengthen fragility, create neuroses, psychoses, in order to encourage consultation. Nothing stops them, and wesuspect that some people actually believe what they say. Therefore, what can we say about the mental health of an individual affirming that vaccinated children are expected to die within 3 years, or recommending not sending the youngest to school at the next school year, or even cloistering themselves to prepare for the next apocalypse?

These false seers and false prophets with tortured minds would be well advised to keep a low profile, because if there is one prophecy that often comes true, it is that the lure of gain, when it is based on abuse, deception and exploitation of one’s fellow human beings, one day ends up turning against its author(s).
