Madame ZOYA, pseudo astrologer and false clairvoyant seems to have a bright future ahead of her, exploiting hundreds, even thousands of clients from whom she extracts hundreds of euros during each call. Just like a large number of firms and platforms, that of Ms. ZOYA is located in Tunisia, a real revolving platform for fraud on the scale of industrial clairvoyance. His dark cabinet includes 19 false clairvoyants/astrologers of Tunisian, Moroccan and Senegalese origin. These supposed professional mediums are for the most part neither declared nor insured. They therefore work without a contract and without any social protection.
Curious about the wild practices of clairvoyance practiced on a large scale, Jilali Khader, a Tunisian reporter, went to meet a student, Myriam, trained in record time to approach and impose so-called clairvoyance consultations on clients living, for the most part, in France.

Myriam* receives a salary of €200/month, for 42 hours of work per week. This sum is given to him in cash in an envelope, it is neither declared nor insured. Everything is black! She has an obligation to keep the client for at least 30 minutes. Even undeclared and exploited, these false clairvoyants have no say, they are treated like “slaves”. The French and Tunisian managers and associates, who operate these platforms, have developed a scheme allowing them to exploit the large number of customers who use clairvoyance. Indeed, after a few days of express training, the student or unemployed person becomes an expert in astrology and tarology. He will present himself as personal assistant to Mrs. ZOYA, in front of the client, whom he will have contacted by telephone. Myriam tells us about her experience, anonymously. She has just finished her studies and like thousands of young unemployed Tunisians, thanks to a friend, she finds herself working in a “clairvoyance” call center in Tunis for the summer vacation period. During the “job” interview, there was talk of a well-paid job in a call center offering “psychological assistance”. Myriam has followed scientific training which has nothing to do with the position to be filled but as she has a perfect command of the French language, she will be hired quickly. What more could you ask for?
A few days of training to learn by heart the 12 astrological signs, the meaning of some tarot cards and various information contained in printed documents from Google, which will be given to him by the call center director. And here she is propelled into the world of clairvoyance, specialist in love: At the beginning, she tells us, it made me laugh, it amused me because I could tell the client everything and its opposite. He only saw “fire”. But it was getting tiring telling the same thing to every customer. It was increasingly difficult to keep him on the line for at least 30 minutes, even if people told him nonsense. Myriam seems to have had regrets and admits to us that, after her first consultations were over, she felt uncomfortable, overcome with immeasurable discomfort at having deceived the woman.customer confidence. After a month of work and false predictions made to poor people, she claims, against all expectations, to have felt in the shoes of a medical executive, invested with a mission, capable of managing resentments, even if her conscience often called her to order.
Regarding the distribution of work and the training of students, Myriam shares with us some secrets from Madame Zoya’s office.
In this office, after an expeditious 5-day training course, the new clairvoyance recruit begins with chat via Facebook. Ms. ZOYA’s office previously communicates to her the profile of a potential client, approached by telephone, to whom she sends a message offering essential advice on clairvoyance. The person accepts the mission of the false clairvoyants. They are, in fact, real salespeople whose duty is to convince the customer to opt for a private consultation and communicate their bank card number. In the event of difficulties, the consultant will have to be persuaded to call “service 08, which is supposedly the cheapest offer on the market”. Which, in reality, is completely false because the call is billed to the customer at 0.80 euros per minute. A “special consultation” by telephone with a specific psychic costs €4 per minute or €240. As in all call centers, pseudo-psychics are required to use a French pseudonym so as not to arouse suspicion and reassure the customer. Myriam, like her colleagues, therefore presents herself to the client, depending on the case, as being the assistant or direct assistant of Madame ZOYA, astrologer and parapsychology advisor. Some customers, again according to Myriam, quickly realize the deception. And put an end to the conversation by calling the salespeople thieves, scammers…

The fact is that this poorly regulated practice sometimes works and that the victims are more and more numerous.
