Practical advice

Proof of the agreement concluded

If it is not possible to obtain a written document specifying the conditions of the agreement, there are however some basic precautions to take: * request prior to the consultation or intervention the communication of the prices which will be charged, in particular if it concerns consultations by telephone. * never pay anything in cash, unless you require the issuance of a receipt when remittance of funds or an invoice detailing the services paid for and the corresponding price.

If the practitioner is reluctant to commit in writing, take the precaution of sending him, before any intervention and payment of sums of money, a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt in order to remind you of what you expect from him, specifying clearly that the amount of remuneration has been fixed taking into consideration the result to be obtained. Remember to keep the advertisements or leaflets that encouraged you to contact this or that medium because they generally include mentions relating to the promised results. These reflexes will allow you, in the event of a dispute, to demonstrate at least what services were ordered, the agreed price and the amounts actually paid.
